thats a good question…i’ve been thinking about that too…
i’d like to see it look like my site… i saw somewhere a plugin that lets you use the blog’s css or something, but it didn’t go the length…
but yeah, the new colors are kinda annoying…it’d be nice to tone it down a lil
No templates, but a bit of fiddling reduces the glare 🙂

well…i don’t know about the pink…lol, you can’t really read the light blue text at the top…
how do we change the colors? and is there a way to make the css use images like you can in the blog css?
On that admin, the following were changed:
#planetnews li a {
display: block;
padding: .5em;
background: #FFF5EE;
height: 6em;
overflow: hidden;
}
#adminmenu {
background: #8B7D7B;
border-top: 3px solid #CDB7B5;
margin: 0;
padding: .2em .2em .2em 2em;
}
#wphead {
background: #EED5D2;
padding: .8em 19em .8em 2em;
color: #c3def1;
}
#zeitgeist {
background: #FFE4E1;
and I have never been known for my colour coordination 🙂
And you can do what you want !
It’s /wp-admin/wp-admin.css that you need to change.
Get Firefox and the Web Dev toolbar and play.
WOW!! thanks…
does that mean we can use images too?
It’s css – you are limited only by your imagination 🙂
Ordered List has an admin theme that was used in WordPress 1.5 and he has also upgraded it for 2.0 use.

That’s awesome. Thanks for the direction 🙂
I just changed some of the graphics that are in that plugin as well as some of the colors in the css… i really wanted something more easy on the eyes… so i used the mozilla site as a frame of referrence… props the “ordered list” for making such a kick-ass plugin to do this!!
the title graphic i made for my site, but it’d be easy for anyone to edit that… if you wanna try it out just go to my homepage, and then add the following to the end of it…
/wp-content/files/wp-admin-tiger.zip
here is a screenshot… just add that do my homepage URL…
wp-content/files/theme.jpg
add, wp-content/files/wp-admin-tiger.zip to download the theme…
how do I post new threads in this forum?
