  • No posts are displayed in calendar and this appears to be as a result of a conflict with two plugins — SexyBookmarks and Viper’s Video Quicktags. When those two plugins are disabled posts are displayed in the calendar as expected. Is there any kind of fix/work around?

Thanks for trying the Editorial Calendar. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with it. There are some things other plugins can do that conflict with the calendar. These conflicts often cause JavaScript errors. Could you look on your JavaScript console and see if there are any errors when the calendar doesn’t display posts.

    Thank you,
    Zack

    Zack,
Thank you for your quick reply.
Using the Chrome javascript console I get the following when I reload the blank calendar…

That message indicates there was a formatting problem with the data sent from the server running your blog to your browser. This all makes me think that one of those plugins is doing something to change that output.

I’ve seen that with some plugins that try to change time formatting or try to add a script or style sheet to every response. I would suggest you contact the makers of SexyBookmarks and Viper’s Video Quicktags and see if they can fix the issue.

If you could give me access to your blog so I could try this then I could give you a more specific description of exactly how those other plugins are changing that content.

    Thanks,
    Zack

    Zack,
Thank you very much for the reply. I just wanted to let you know that a third plugin (Fast Secure Contact Form) also conflicts in the same way as the previously mentioned two plugins.

Considering that the odds are low that we can get three plugin creators to adjust their plugins so as not to conflict with the Editorial Calendar, we decided to deactivate the calendar.

Thank you for letting me know. I’m really sorry we couldn’t find a good solution here. Maybe we’ll resolve this issue in a future release.

Mine has suddenly stopped displaying anything, as well. It was working great, but no longer does. I don’t think I’ve installed anything new, but perhaps an update to something caused the problem. I will have to do some investigating to sort out whether it’s a particular plugin; that’s going to take a while.
