• Hi.
I was just wondering…Is there anyway to make WordPress more viewable in the 800 x 600 screen resolution as far as the editing area goes? I’m installing this for a friend, and I have to tell ya, it’s ridiculous how messed up the tables look.
I really enjoy this software, and I think that you guys have done a remarkable job thus far, I was just hoping that you could further the usability of WordPress by somehow fixing this issue.
    Thanks.

  • What browser and platform are you using?
To me, the admin section scales to whatever size my window is at… it’s using XHTML, thus CSS to define the admin section. Look in the “wp-admin” directory and modify wp-admin.css to your liking. Mostly DIV tags defining everything; looking at the code, seems that most tables are scaled to 100 to 90 percent…

I’m also running WP at 800×600 and have had no problems with viewing any part of the admin section (out of the box). Maybe your friend’s computer has some odd video/browser settings?

You know what? It’s probably my browser. I use Opera7, and it looks horrid, so I’m going to see if I can’t do something with it. WordPress is awesome, so I don’t mind. In IE, the deformation in 800 x 600 is minimal at best, though.

If you’re into the whole alternative browser movement, try MozillaFirebird! WP looks pixel-perfect in it and it’s just a great browser over all.
