[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] How to work with Album Manager?

HI There,

I have NextGen installed, but I really don’t understand the logic behind the album manager. I rather have just albums and sub-albums, but that isn’t probably how this plugin works. The wording gallery and album also confuse me really, but that aside.

What I want is to build one big photo gallery. However in this case it should be “album” I guess. And within them all the separate albums (I guess “galleries” would be the proper word .. you see .. confusing!) and sub-albums.

Photo gallery
– Carnaval
— Carnaval 2010
– General
— Cd recording
– Party
— Party 2008
— Party 2009
— Party 2010

So one page, where Carnaval, General and Party will be shown. And after you click Party you will see the 3 albums on the page. Just like a regular image gallery should work in my opinion.

However, how do I set it up?

1. Make the galleries first, those are the subalbums (party 2008, party 2009 and so on) I believe …
2. Then how would I put them together to get what I want above?

Also why do new galleries don’t automatically get posted ? Can we do that?
Otherwise the whole function of this plugin is basically nothing for a non-technical client that has to work with this … I don’t really see them using the Album Manager properly …
