    Please try 1.1.1.

I have a site on godaddy.
It’s public & accessible as far as I can tell.
Though WordPress.com stats were acting up too, which prompted me to install Jetpack.

    Then this message:

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible

Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site.

Maybe I’ll just wait a few days and see it’s a server thing…

I am also getting the same error.
My site is also hosted in godaddy… looks like some server restriction which is stopping jetpack to communicate with wordpress.com

Created a support ticket, lets see when it gets resolved.

darkgod, Any news on the Godaddy support ticket?
    Just curious.

They told that there is not problem in there server… and contact the plugin support.
But the same plugin is working in other website hosted in justhost…
I dont know what to do

Same for me – it’s running fine elsewhere!

I have a plugin that was causing this behavior with the jetpack plugin. The problematic plugin is the ET Anticipate Maintenance Plugin, once deactivated the JetPack plugin had no problem communicating with wordpress.com, Or is the other way? 🙂

This is also not working for me hosted on godaddy. I sent an email though http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service but have heard nothing back. I do have quite a few plugins, but I canot just disable them all to find a culprit.

same with me, my site is also hosted on godaddy… it worked once… but had do disable it, but when i again enabled it it didn’t… tried every thing… still getting…

Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site.

Has this been addressed? I’m working on a site offline and would like to get the Jetpack settings in place before going live. Is that possible?

I have the same issue on my self-hosted site.
How can we make it works? thanks!

I found that the issues I was having were with a old theme. You might check and see if you theme has a update that supports the later versions of WP.

i think its nothing about outdated theme in my case, since i have all themes and plugins updated. However, i thank you for your reply 🙂
    still looking for solution…
