Will I lose WordPress files after installing Ubuntu over Windows?

    I am planning on installing Ubuntu over Windows 7. I have WordPress installed and am working on a website. After the Ubuntu install, will I lose my WordPress website as well as my Xampp database?

    If you don’t back them up, and they are ONLY located on your computer, then yes.

    Export your database, backup your files, save EVERYTHING. You’ll need to rebuild apache or what not on Ubuntu in order to get your site back up on your personal PC, but it’s just like moving WordPress from one server to another 🙂
