    Here’s the error text:

Warning: main(/home/.ignatius/sdimbert/misterdimbert.com/wordpress/wp-settings.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.ignatius/sdimbert/misterdimbert.com/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 20

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/.ignatius/sdimbert/misterdimbert.com/wordpress/wp-settings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/.ignatius/sdimbert/misterdimbert.com/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 20

I’ve backed up as directed and moved all the appropriate files out of my public_html/wordpress/ directory. (I saved .htaccess and wp-config.php.)

    Can anyone help me out?

  • Same happened to me. I´ve checked on the ftp server and there was no wp-settings.php on web root folder. Uploaded it again (did so, before) and it worked.

    :Doh!:

I just looked and like half of my wordpress directory didn’t upload. I will finish the upload, try again, then come back to mark this solved (which I assume it will be).

    OK. That did it.

I then got the blank page problem, but that was because my theme was busted. I sorted that out by jumping into the admin and letting it set things right.

You should probably reset a WP blog to the default theme before upgrading to v2.

    Anyway, I’m good. 🙂
