WordPress was b2. So references to ‘b2’ can be replaced by ‘WordPress’.
Correct. I just replaced all references to b2 and cafelog in import-blogger.php with WordPress. The next nightly will have the new nomenclature.
Ok, so i replace everything you said. But how do i go about running the script if i am to do so? Or do i just follow the directions in the import file?
garybibb, the importer works just fine. In the text that you can read, read WordPress where it says b2, and run the importer.
Ok so i ran the script and was following along until i came to the where it says make blogger publish your files into the directory where wordpress resides. how do i do that in blogger? I don’t see anywhere to change that setting. Also i see no where to change the archive filename to cafelog.php. Thanks for all the help so far.

Ok, i am begining to think i am losing brain cells. I now get this error message:
001 java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
I don’t get it. I went to where 2fargon told me to go, read everything, went and ran the import script, i think i did everything it said. But i still get nothing. Any ideas?
any tested the importer on teh new blogger?

I think it may be on my end, that i am not doing something properly. I’ll try again tomorrow.

I was wrong, I appologize. At the bottom of the page it said the pages had been imported, and I ditzed out and didn’t look at the logs, which had SQL error after error…
Yay and boo. I was succesful at importing my blogger posts, but now there is a new problem. All the posts are out of order and there are archives for dates i wasn’t even bloggin on. I started blogging Jan this year, yet i have archives for 2001 ! Anyway to fix this order problem? Is there a way to mass delete posts? Thanks for all the help so far.

How did you get them to finally import? I can change the dates if they’re out of order, so that’s no problem for me. I just want to get them in there.
