I want to add the following text to the site for obvious reasons and I placed it in the footer.php file but for some reason (at least for me) it appears obscured by the black bar that is running across the bottom.

Can someone give me a tip on perhaps how to simply add text to the footer so it will show up right?

I must have read 50 other posts and didn’t see a solution so thanks in advance for your help.

    Here’s the text:
“NOTE: THIS INFORMATION IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE ACCURATE AND AUTHORITATIVE INFORMATION; HOWEVER, WE ARE NOT ENGAGED IN RENDERING LEGAL SERVICES. IF LEGAL ADVICE IS REQUIRED, THE SERVICE OF AN ATTORNEY SHOULD BE SOUGHT.”

here’s what it looks like in my footer.php file.

<p class="auto alignright">NOTE: THIS INFORMATION IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE ACCURATE AND AUTHORITATIVE INFORMATION; HOWEVER, WE ARE NOT ENGAGED IN RENDERING LEGAL SERVICES. IF LEGAL ADVICE IS REQUIRED, THE SERVICE OF AN ATTORNEY SHOULD BE SOUGHT.
    Copyright &copy; <?php echo date('Y'); ?>, <?php echo bloginfo('name'); ?></p>
