So here is the site I am working on for my friend. You will see on the pages.. The Page Title; The Date; The Posted By Line; “|no comments. Edit;” and “Filed under.” This is on top of all the pages… I want to eliminate all of it on all pages if possible. I only want date and time to post on posts, not pages. One other problem, I’m a newbie and need a tad bit of hand holding. Sorry about that, I am trying my best to learn the system fast. I am using the Director theme by WP Themes Planet. Here is the site. http://actorchrisgreene.cjmarketingagency.com/

    Thanks!

  • Well for the posts you have to edit your single.php file under Appearance -> Editor. Search for the “tags” that are reffering to time and leave the ones that you want.

For pages you should edit your… page.php file doing the same thing.

Damn straight! You are the best. Just learned somethign great! One other follow-up question. Where can I find the “comments closed” tag hiding? I looked in the page.php but didn’t see it… I can make a new forum topic if required.

    Glad I help you!
I think that you do not want comments in your website.
If it is so, find this piece of code ( or similar ) <?php comments_template('', true); ?> again in single and page and remove it!

Tell me if you have done it

Found a different set of code that removed the “comments are closed” text from the pages. That was all I was looking to delete. It was right where it should have been… in the comments.php. I didn’t originally see that php. Everything is exactly like I want it now. Thanks for all your help! Will mark as resolved!
