  • Wow excellent work. You might be right…that is the perfect theme.

Looks very nice. How easy would it be to add another column?

Cheers for comments – straightforward to add another col, just duplicate another sidebar div and change content width accordingly. Might be some fiddling required for background image, but that’s about it….

It indeed is a nice theme.

FYI, in firefox (linux version), the navigation “buttons” don’t fit within the horizontal bar like the search does. The “buttons” extend below it.

    Beautiful theme.

@vaamyob, are you sure you don’t have custom zoom enabled? I am using Firefox 1 on Linux and all looks very clean.

    That is REALLY REALLY nice.

    One (ultra nitpicky) suggestion:
For the love of all that is holy, format your code ~_~.

    The site is beautiful.
    The code is garbage.

Cheers for all the positives! RE the code – are there any tools out there that will whip through CSS / XHTML and tidy it up? – I’m unsure as to the syntax of formatting it manually (I ‘bodge’ a lot – you see….)

    schestowitz,

    I don’t have “custom zoon” enabled. I think that’s a plugin ?

Here’s a partial screenshot to show what I’m talking about.

    Firefox:
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050922 Fedora/1.0.7-1.1.fc4 Firefox/1.0.7

    I’d bank on that being:

    1. because you don’t have Tahoma
    2. becuase the pixel (PX) padding isn’t rendered correctly.

    Very nice!

Nice theme VaamYob (Firefox theme), but I’m guessing that you use some non-standard font set or have set the display resolution (DPI) to something out of the ordinary. I used to have the same issue.

    Thanks (Firefox theme)

I remember having to downgrade X in order to get my screen resolution to be 1600×1200, so that may have indirectly caused the issue for me.

Back on topic, jhorbury’s got a really nice theme.

I tried using it on my site but it would have taken me longer than I want to customize it to my liking. (I have alot of code samples in my posts that require a wider content area)

I’ve posted a link to this theme on the site if anyone wants to use/abuse it. (VaamYob – I’ve double checked the CSS and I could do more to make it more accessible to non-standard screen res, etc, but I’m full of brandy now so gonna have a rest for a bit…!)

    Happy xmas…

I find rest to be a poor substitute for caffeine. 🙂

I’m looking forward to whatever changes you make to your theme.

Site now actually does validate. So there.
