Category Menu returns 404

    I’m not sure when this problem crept into my site but I noticed it today and can’t figure out how to fix it. Perhaps someone here can help me out.

    I’ve set my menu to show categories so that visitors can view only those posts. Unfortunately whenever I click these links I’m sent to a 404 page. The same thing happens when I click the posts’ category at the end of posts.

    Have you changed your permalinks recently by any chance? You could try resaving them again anyway. Sometimes works.

    It seems that when I use any kind of non-default permalink setup it doesn’t work at all, but changing everything to default works fine. I was using the preset Day and Name option before it broke, and having to use default settings is going to cause a few issuers for particular posts.

    Still, at least it’s working now, but I’d like it to switch back to Day and Name at some point. Any idea as to what causes this kind of problem?

    I think I had the same kind of problem. Go to the following page and follow the instructions (STEP BY STEP). That resolved my problem with getting 404 errors when clicking on category and tag pages.
