• Hi gang,

does anybody know if it’s possible to change the default behaviour of wp multisite to add all users to one global user db?

We plan to offer customers services that include their own website and also ecommerce store, and even though it kind of defeats the purpose of multisite; in our situation it would be better to have a single user db for every blog…

So that users are only added to the blogs user database they also signed up for.

I would appreciate it if you could maybe put us on the right track what to do… Or if it’s even possible to have a single user db without having to hack wordpress?

    Thanks a lot! 🙂

Splitting up the db still won;t do this as the user table is *global*

If you really want them separated that much, then multisite isn’t the solution.

you may want to look at wp-hive or wp site stack. (I haven’t used either).
