    I want to move BEACHFRONT to the top of the list, right now I think it’s determined alphabetically.

    How do I move it up?

  • Up from where? I can’t see “Beachfront” on your front page.

    It’s not on the front page, it’s under Sales and it’s down at the bottom.

    What code are you using to create that menu? If it’s more than a few lines, use the pastebin and post the pastebin url here.

    I just click Add New Post and it makes me a new page and adds the menu item under the Category I selected.

    OK – so what code is the theme using to create that menu?

    I have absolutely no idea, and no idea where to look.

    I’m a complete novice so someone else set this up for me because of its ease of use.

    Not understanding the technology is part of my problem when I want to tinker with it.

    The current menu appears to be organized in order of creation.

    Does the theme allow you to assign a custom menu to this sidebar>

    Where would I look to find out?

    Remember, I don’t know anything, this was done for me and I really don’t know how it works.

    From what I can figure out, the link calls various components from the db to render the page.

    Add New Post creates a page and a menu item under the Category I select. How it does it and what’s allowed is a mystery to me.

    Based on the source code, it looks like the menu is generated inside of your theme’s index.php file. Can you go to “Appearance”, then “Editor” in your admin menu, and click the link (on the righthand side) for “index.php”. Then, select everything in that textarea (put your cursor inside and press Ctrl+A on your keyboard) and paste it into a site like pastebin.com or pastie.org, then share the link with us here? That will probably help us figure out what options you have.

    I’ll give it a shot.

    It looks like the pastebin URL is either wrong, or the code expired already. I can’t seem to access it. Can you try again?

    Curtis, I am gonna die if i don’t get help.

    I messed up my general settings, entered a different wordpress name that’s not the same as my website name.

    Now all i get is this:

    Network – DNS Lookup Error
    The address http://www.ohsomeangelsatwork.com could not be found.
    Suggestions

    * Try Again
    * Go to http://www.ohsomeangelsatwork.com/
    * Try finding an archived copy in the Wayback Machine.

    I really messed up because I’m stupid. Dunno where to look for help.

    Please, curtis. Thanks!

    To get the settings fixed, try reading the Codex article on changing your site’s URL. That should give you some pointers to get things fixed.

    Also, in the future, please refrain from posting in someone else’s thread. You should start a new thread to seek assistance for errors you are encountering. Thank you.

    I’m really sorry for all these. Was freaking out. I’ll be much more normal the next time, Curtis and all you guys.

    THANKS so much for your help. I really appreciate it BIG TIME!
    If you need help with writing, editing, proofreading or a clown at your kid’s next birthday, I’d be so happy to do it. Great thanks! For your patience as well as your time.

    Can never express my gratitude enough. God bless you Curtis! And all of you here.
