affiliate links and products

I’ve got a couple of blogs with WP now and I’m looking to get some income going from them. I understand we are not allowed to use Adsense or Chitika or those type of ads, but are affiliate products allowed? For example, I’m an Amazon Associate and some of their products would perfectly fit my blog niche. I’d like to show the products on some of my blog posts but I’d like to know if this is acceptable. Thanks!
