Support » Networking WordPress » Different Plugins to Different Subdomains?

  • I’m not sure if this is even possible but I would like to know if there is a plugin available that would allow a Super Admin to ‘push’ individual plugins to individual subdomains in the multisite.

As far as I can tell, at the moment I can either activate an individual plugin which will run only on the main site or I can network activate an individual plugin which will run on every subdomain in the multisite network.

What I would really like to do is push individual plugins to individual subdomains, so different subdomains would have different plugins available to them depending on their own blog needs and requirements.

If something like this isn’t available, maybe wordpress would consider incorporating this feature in a future release – I would imagine lots of people would find something like this really useful, and if there is a plugin available that anyone knows about, I would be really grateful if you could post some information.

    Kind Regards,
    Wayne

Tho I will note that even if a subsite has a whole pile of plugins available to it, as long as they’ve only activated the ones they are using the rest of them do not impact their site.

If you’re trying to hide some plugin on some sites because you don’t want those site owners to have access to certain features…. that’s slightly different.

you’re not pushing a group of plugins, they all get dumped in the same folder. You’d be hiding & showing from the available list.
