Been having some issues getting the backups to run, due to the sheer size of my blog.
Exactly 60 seconds after triggering a manual backup I get:
>>> 504 Gateway Time-out
The last thing in the log before this point is:
>>> 2013-02-27 16:09:17 NOTICE Attempting to create archive ‘mysite.com-mivtzf.zip’.
Monitoring the backup folder via FTP i see the Zip file growing steadily up to the point where the 504 error pops up, and the zip file stops growing. The zip file size will vary (presumably with server load) – have seen anything from 70 to 110MB, but it’s nowhere near making it to the full 500MB that I expect.
I’m on a hosted server, so I can’t change this timeout value – is there anything in the works to break up the zip creation into smaller work packages according to filesizes, or is there a similar function already implemented?
Thanks in advance!
