504 Gateway Time-out error

    After I obtained a SSL certificate for my website and installed WP Force SSL, I began receiving ‘504 Gateway Time-out’ errors when working in the WordPress admin console. Whenever I tried applying changes the new page would take forever to resolve and eventually I’d get the error. Sometimes it would take several page refreshes to get the page to come back up again. I’m using the certificate for a donations page I’ve added, and the timeout error came up when doing a test run for donating as well. Can’t have that happening with live customers. As soon as I deactivate the plugin, the problem disappears. Does anybody know the cause of this and how to resolve it? Until I get this resolved, the site certificate is useless to me.
