Pingback count not appearing

Anyone know how to get ping backs to show count wise. I have set to on in the Discussion tab. I have tried by posting from 1 of my blogs to another blog but no count registration. My pending number is zero yet i have pinged the other .com blog so i do not understand why the count is not registering.
