 * Hi, Janis. Thanks so much for this plugin. I just updated (12/19/2019) to latest
   and 503 database connection. Disabled plugin, FTPd, site’s up. Any ideas? Thanks
   again.

 * Sometimes a 503 error can mean that there was a fatal PHP error somewhere. Please
   check the PHP error log for recent fatal errors. The error message might not 
   mention this plugin specifically, so look for any errors that happened around
   the time when you tried to update the plugin.
