• Im fairly new to blogging, and only really maintained a very simple personal blog.. but would like to start to understand how it all works, the nitty gritty, nuts and bolts.. but dont really know where to start….

Ive no experience of programming (lol, well not since basic and pascal, 20 odd years ago!!)… and no nothing about html, coding, stylesheets etc.. so am trying to find a starting point!

My end goal is to be able to make full use of WP, and the plugins to design and maintain my own sites, and actually understand what Im doing! Rather than just scouring the net bodging little bits together, and not really understanding anythng!

Im happy to buy some books and start learning, but need a bit of guidance on what to choose… Id their one “holy grail” of books that would introduce me to WP, Stylesheets.. and all the other components that go to make up WP…????

    Suggesitons would be welcome…

WordPress is definitely the way to go and it’s pretty quick and easy to learn as well. If you have any specific questions on how to use it, please post them and I will try to help.

Many of the savviest techies are self-taught. If you’ve programmed before, even 20 years ago, WP should be a piece of cake. It’s much more intuitive than Pascal.

Lol.. yeah only wish I could remember any of it…

Of course, im familiar with the layout etc.. but the code itself is like a foreign language.. literally!

Bookmarked that link yesterday, so will start going through it, and building my site at the same time.. best way to learn, as I go!

    Thank!
