• Have a weird issue I would like to explain…I started with a template that I downloaded and I edited it a bit. I have part of the site going to Pages…and some links on the index page that points to other php files I have stored on my webserver under the main directory. The site works great and looks pretty good.

I finished working on it last night. Today when I awoke, I logged in to my domain via FTP and was going to make some minor text style changes. I looked in the root directory…and the 10 php files that I created are no longer listed in there. I have searched all throughout the folder which was dumb since I know right where I put them but to no avail, they are not showing up. I can still access the site and when I click on the links that point to those php files…the pages come up just fine. It even tells me in the address bar the complete path to the file which is the root dir.

Is there someway that WP takes those files and sucks them into the database or something? I am fairly new to WP and still learning. Any ideas as to why the files aren’t being listed?

No. You either need to check your FTP software configuration or contact your hosts.

FTP client is fine…hosting is fine. I have logged in via 2 ftp clients from both my Macbook Pro…as well as my linux box. I just loaded Filezilla on my wife’s Windows7 box and all three show the same results. It’s like the PHP files I created are gone as far as viewing in the FTP folders…but the site works and it’s not cached. I called a friend of mine to check it and the files in question show up fine for him as well.

Very weird. Guess it will come to a resolution eventually. If not, I will just recreate the php files. No biggie.
