Support » Plugin: SG Optimizer » 5.1.2 Breaks CSS

    When I upgrade to 5.1.2 my styling goes haywire (I have confirmed that it is this plugin update that’s doing it).

    I note that the changelog details indicate 5.1.2 “fixed” a CSS combining bug, but in my particular case it has gone from working to broken.

    The site is running Divi (not my preference), and is heavy on the styling, but everything work fine with v5.1.1 of the plugin, but not with 5.1.2.

    Any ideas?

    I got an answer from a plugin developer some days ago regarding Divi.

    You need to exclude Divi style manually by adding this code to functions.php of your child theme.

    add_filter( 'sgo_css_combine_exclude', 'css_combine_exclude' );

    function css_combine_exclude( $exclude_list ) {

        $exclude_list[] = "divi-style";
        return $exclude_list;
    }

    Thanks – worked perfectly 🙂

    I have a similar issue with the Chromium theme where it forces some of its CSS which breaks column layout in this theme, disabling the plugin resolves it, I have not had time to see where exactly it breaks it, perhaps I just need to disable a particular setting, but there is definitely a bug. you may not see this with storefront or standard themes but themes that have custom styling suffer

    Does anyone know how I can disable the forced CSS styling?
