Nowhere did I see the 500 subscriber limit, not until I investigated the logs when I wondered why it wasn’t sending. Uninstalling.

Hi @static1635 – There are a number of locations where that’s stated. We always recommend reading all product descriptions. Due to rushed lifestyles lately, I understand if you didn’t have the time but it is there.

    1. It is found on our page where you download it and has been there since 2014: https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletters-lite/ – scroll down to PRO Version to view the limitations. That’s where usually all plugins indicate limits, though some hide them until after installation. See web archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20140831060651/https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletters-lite/
    2. After installing it, we add a menu at the top of your admin area on the WordPress black toolbar called Newsletters LITE. When you hover over it, it indicates all limits and your internal usage statistics. We find that very handy for LITE users.
    3. When you go to add a new subscriber, there’s a red warning at the top after you reach 500. “Subscriber limit of 500 has been reached. Upgrade to PRO to be able to manage unlimited subscribers.”
    4. On the upgrade to PRO page, you’ll find it along with internal usage statistics: yourwebsiteurl.tld/wp-admin/admin.php?page=newsletters-lite-upgrade

I don’t believe our product deserves a 1 star review for this situation. We hope you can revise that as it damages our reputation needlessly.

If you need additional help or a coupon to purchase our PRO version, please submit a ticket on our website. You would get to own our product for a lower price and you get access to all features.

What we will do is note down internally that we should warn users on the create newsletter page if they have reached 500.

Thank you for your time and for trying Tribulant Newsletters.
