Title: 500 Internal Server Errors When Accessing Dashboard Last modified: August 24, 2016 --- # 500 Internal Server Errors When Accessing Dashboard * [nerdrepository](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nerdrepository/) * (@nerdrepository) * [11 years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/500-internal-server-errors-when-accessing-dashboard/) * Hey everyone, * We’ve been experiencing an ongoing error with our site since early on the morning of May 7th – after updating to the WordPress version 4.2.2. * The front end of the site is working just fine, but we’re repeatedly getting a 500 Internal Server Error when trying to do anything on the backend: accessing the Dashboard, adding new posts, editing existing posts, etc. * I’ve been on the phone with GoDaddy several times, and they keep telling me there’s nothing wrong on the server side. This morning, I re-installed 4.2.2, manually disabled all plugins via FTP, then began reactivating them one at a time. I didn’t get any errors until trying to reactivate the Wordfence Security Plugin – this resulted in a 500 Internal Server Error. * So after refreshing my browser several times to get back into the Plugins page, I deactivated the Wordfence Security plugin, then reactivated my remaining plugins and everything seemed to be working correctly. * About an hour or so later, I tried to login to the Dashboard, and once again was met with a 500 Internal Server error. I hadn’t made any additional changes, so I’m not sure what would have gone wrong during that time. * I pulled up the Error Logs from my server, and here’s what I’m seeing in each log (there are 3 I disabled a ton of the modules in the Jetpack plugin and turned off W3 Total Cache, and so far I’ve been up and running for about 12 hours without a crash. * Thanks for the help.
