    Hi Team,

We are facing 500 internal server error with All In One SEO sitemap and same has been notified by Google webmaster as well.

This issue popped up with activation on W3 Total Cache plugin. On W3 Total Cache deactivation, everything come back normal but on re-activation there is 500 internal server error.

We have done a lot of brain storming and changes but didn’t have any success yet.

    Our website is ReckonTalk

    Robot File is accessible: http://www.reckontalk.com/robots.txt

    but Sitemap is not accessible

    Sitemap: http://www.reckontalk.com/sitemap.xml

We have also added .xml file as an exception wherever required in Page Cache, Browser Cache, CDN etc.

    Exceptions added:

    wp-.*\.php
    index\.php
    robot.txt
    ([a-z0-9_\-]+)?sitemap(_index)?(-)?([0-9]*)?\.(xml(\.gz)?|xsl)$
    all .xml URLs

The issue has been resolved by by un-checking Dynamically Generate Sitemap under XML sitemap.

    Thanks

    Hi Friends,

If you are trying to use W3 Total Cache plugin and you’re getting 500 Internal Server Error then dont worry go to you’re hosting website manage files then delete plugin and finally please dont forget to change the .htacess file

Basic WordPress website just copy and paste this in .htacess file,

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress

If you activated Multisite on WordPress 3.5 or later, use one of these. Then just copy and paste this in .htacess file.

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ – [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $2 [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

Surely who ever facing this problem now they can be relax and happy 🙂

    All the best!
