500 internal server error

    @amyhasdesign

    So originally I had WordPress set up for only my blog and I wanted to use it to run my actual website as well. I followed the steps for giving WordPress its own directory using a pre-existing subdirectory install since I already had it set up for http://www.amyhasdesign.com/blog. I changed my site URL to http://www.amyhasdesign.com but when I move the index.php and .htaccess file from the /blog directory to root directory (as per instructed), I get he 500 internal server error when I visit my homepage. My blog page is showing but none of the content is. I’ve tried looking through all the forums for help but I just can’t seem to make it work. I’m not sure what to do PLEASE HELP!
