Weird problem. I installed WP just fine once, and didn’t realize where I was installing it, until it was too late, and for people to navigate to my blog they would have had to go to http://www.jeremygadgit.com/wordpress-1.5-strayhorn/wordpress/ and that’s just not cool. So I deleted the wordpress-1.5-strayhorn folder and everything in it from my server and tried to install everything in the wordpress folder to a new folder on my server. I ran the install and it said that I had already installed WP and that I needed to delete the database tables to reinstall it. I deleted the database, recreated it, and the install ran as usual, except when I get to the login part I get the 500 internal server error. When I check the error in my error log it says “directory is writable by others” any help?
