 * I’ve been using your plugin for years. After updating from 4.0.x to 4.1.5.3,
   I began noticing periodic 500 errors on the backend. These errors happen at random
   times and occur when editing posts (after an action – like saving a draft) or
   while trying to access other parts of the admin section. Clicking the back button
   in the browser resolves the issue. Most of the time, I receive a “critical error
   on your wordpress site” but with no logged error. I also notice that sometimes
   inserting media (like photos) hangs and sometimes doesn’t insert. I use a very
   minimal set of plugins. I have the most updated version of the plugin and the
   error persists. I’m using WordPress 5.8.3 and PHP 7.3. Any ides on what could
   help to resolve this issue? I am on a dedicated server with just one website.

 * Hi [@mfussell](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mfussell/), because the error
   message that WordPress displays is a generic error “critical error on your WordPress
   site”, you’ll need to enable WP_DEBUG_LOG so that a log file will be created
   that includes the full error details.
 * To do this, please follow the instructions here – [https://aioseo.com/docs/how-to-enable-debugging-in-wordpress/](https://aioseo.com/docs/how-to-enable-debugging-in-wordpress/)
 * The debug.log file will be created in the /wp-content/ directory on your web
   server and you’ll need to check it when you next encounter this error.
 * Please post the full error details here when you have it.

 * [@mfussell](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mfussell/),
 * We haven’t heard back from you in a week. I’m going to go ahead and close this
   thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue
   the conversation.
 * Thanks! 🙂
