I am not sure when this featured rolled out, but I do recall (unless I was dreaming) that you were forced to convert a reusable block into a regular block before you could update it outside the “Mange Reusable Block” context.
Now it appears that you can edit a reusable block wherever it may live and it affect that instance globally. I have confirmed this on a post here in the forum.
Is there a way to disable this feature and if not, can there be? In my opinion, this is clearly bad UI. In the topic above I describe in detail the fallout of being able to do such and the frustration it causes to clients when a reusable block is modified unintentionally.
I also respect any feedback into this feature and as to why it was changed.
