• Just like some of other reviewers I have been using this plugin since it came out. Now that a new company has overtaken it has not been the same. So glad I kept a backup.

Since the update of 6.0.0 it looks like they create an account for you during an ‘on-boarding process’ after you install the plugin, for what? I’m trying to see just my Google statistics nothing more.

You should not need to do an on-boarding to use the plugin in order to connect the plugin to see Google Analytics data. I can understand if you want to charge for your extra features like Integrations and only then would I need an account or need to connect through your server.

You should re-think your strategy or you will continue have unhappy users.

Otherwise, someone from Google or another WP user/developer will surely be glad to make a WordPress Plugin themselves to contribute to the community.

    Hi there,
No account is created during our onboarding process.

Our onboarding process walks users through authentication, then through settings that they might want to configure based on the type of website they have and through some suggestions.

You can also connect the authentication through the main settings panel as well if you don’t want to do the suggested settings steps (and of course those can also be skipped during the onboarding wizard as well)

Where do you skip the onboarding because I did not see a skip? Should be simple like Updraft.

Also it shows I created an account on your website (exactmetrics.com). Is this not true?

There’s a Go back on the first screen and a Skip on the others. Notably the onboarding wizard only shows directly after install. If you’ve been directed into it post activation you won’t be directed back into it again (though you can manually access it at any time from our Settings page).

ExactMetrics.com accounts are only used to manage our paid version. Unless you bought our paid version it’s impossible to have an account on our site since they are made by our post-purchase process. They cannot be made during authentication, only as the immediate result of buying our paid version on our site.

Thanks for the clarification because it certainly doesn’t look like it after installing the plugin. Maybe you should try a simpler process like I said that other plugins do and how GADWP did prior to all this hooplah.

    Thanks again.
