When I upgrade from 5.2.2 to 5.2.3 I lose the white background of my site (it changes to gray) and the gray background of my “services” area turns to white.
Clearing cache etc etc does not resolve the issue until I reinstall 5.2.2
I have installed the latest version on my test WP/buddypress install and it’s still messed up the layout.
Im not sure if i needed to reformat all the pages with the new kirki – but the header / navigation has disappeared and various page layouts and colours look wrong. I will see if I can edit the theme with this new kirki version to look right before upgrading kirki my live main sites.
It’s my pleasure. Please enable the Show WordPress header & footer option from WP Dashboard > Kirki > Settings > Customize. Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/qGivPJzn39hR. If you face any permission issues, then simply deactivate & reactivate the Kirki plugin, which should resolve the issue.
Also, please check our documents to see if your themes’ Kirki integration codes are updated or not.
Just a note to say that all my sites all lost their colours again last night. To help anyone investigating the cause (as I do not know) – I can add: when I 1st updated Kirki to 5.2.3 a few weeks back it did the same. So I rolled back to 5.2.2 and everything was fixed. Then a PATCH to fix this was announced – but when I updated it still broke all my colours. Although I disabled auto-updates – I notice this morning (26th May) my kiri is updated to 6.0.7 and all the colours are broken again – I wonder why the plugin updated on its own? Anyway – I think I will have to roll back to 5.2.2. I hope that helps.
PS. when I go to Kirki > Settings I get message: “Sorry you are not allowed to access this page” (this is on multisite – I will see if I get the same on my other single-instal sites).
