• Hello,

Your plugin is a nice piece of work. But I have a question: when is the page cache actually rebuilt?

Indeed, I want to know if the PC is just rebuild every X seconds (by the way of the setting in the admin panel).

Or, if the plugin regenerates the page cache when a post is modified or a comment posted. When such an event occurs, is the whole cache discarded or just the cache of the page concerned? If the behavior is to rebuild the whole cache, is there a way to change it? (I don’t care if – for a laps of time – some widgets are not accurate on some page like ” last comments”, for example … and there is “selective caching” to solve this). Moreover, I easily imagine, the whole page cache is discarded in a whole lot more occasions: widget/theme/plugin/category changes, etc but that’s not commom things we do on our blog so I don’t really care.

    Tristan

When the expire time value (set on the browser cache settings tab) is reached; the entire page cache is rebuilt unless you use fragment caching. Object and database caching reduce the execution time needed to generate new pages, but they are not compatible with all sites/servers, test to be sure or ask.
