Caching plugins not working?

Quick question: If I can see my article updates INSTANTLY, does that mean my caching plugins aren’t working? (like DB Cache Reloaded, which is similar to WP Super Cache) Or does every page change tell the caching plugin to re-create the cached version of the page?
