What is different between post format: aside and status?

    I don’t use twitter or Facebook before, so I can not understand the different between the 2 post formats: aside and status.

    They both text information, and they both not long. So is that possible combine the two post formats into one?

    They are indeed distinct. A “status” is going to be a short status update, usually limited to 140 characters. An “aside” is going to be a short blog post, typically without a title.

    We’re going to further clarify the Codex page (http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Formats) and the formats on the help tab.

    The theme should also only support both if they’re going to be distinct.
