• Hi all–

    I’ve got a commercial license installed and am embedding an MP4 H.264 video with the shortcode [jwplayer mediaid=”XX”].

    Problems:
    – Displays nothing on an iPhone4 running iOS 4.1 or an iPad running iOS 3.2.
    – I turned off flash in Firefox and I get the “No suitable players found” message (works fine with flash on).

    I embedded the video using regular <video> tags and that works on the iPhone and iPad but does not work with flash disabled in Firefox.

    This is for a client’s website and is not a public site. I can provide a login if needed.

    Help!

    @angelajude,

    H.264 video should work correctly on iDevices. The reason why it doesn’t work in Firefox is that Firefox doesn’t support playback of H.264 for HTML5 video. Instead Firefox only supports playback of .ogg files.

    Could you provide a link to an example of where it doesn’t work on an iDevice?

    Thanks.

    Hi — any way I could PM or email the login to you? It’s a private client site..

    Thanks for the fast response!
