auto .htaccess rewrite and custom RewriteRule

    Hi — is it possible to let WordPress automatically update the .htaccess file, and yet have it somehow add a custom line to my RewriteRule ?

    Need to keep adding this line:
    RewriteRule ^events/(.+)/?$ /index.php?category_name=events/$1 [QSA,L]
