• Hi,

I’ve tried a few different themes for my wordpress blog but every time I go to my website the page it lands on says “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

Initially I thought it was something wrong with teh theme, but it’s definitely not.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this damn thing?

I just want it to land on the nice homepage.

    The website is…

    http://jeffsbestnutrition.com/

    Please help! 🙂 thank you.

  • Hey Jeff,

Your page seems to be working just fine here 🙂

check with your hosting. Maybe they have some process watch installed, and that kills the process… But that I think supposed to be 500 internal server error, but it could be a 404 either.
check the board for godaddy hosting issues, maybe you can find an answer there. I had the same problem with dreamhost… and the solution was moving my sites away

It works fine for me too so I assume you solved that.

The symptoms you describe sometimes happen if your blog is defined as your home page, but you have no blog posts. The system looks for a post and finds nothing so you get that error. This could be as a result of the it being set in Dashboard > Settings > General or by a plugin.

Alternatively it can be caused if a page is redirecting (to something that doesn’t exist). This could be a redirect in the page template, and .htaccess issue or a plugin.
