Posting tables pictures and not dated, pages and not posts

Say I’d like to have a page of three columns. In the centre column I’d like to have 8 small pictures with text underneath that link to other pages in wordpress blog. Then I’d like to have a table underneath them. And of course none of the usual posted on a specific day stuff. On plain HTML this is a laborious process at least for me and i have to make tables, with divs and whatnot, only to find they dont fit or i have to relearn css etc, and moreover they’re not designed specifically for wordpress.

On Artisteer, there’s a basic template they have that has text then Headers that get smaller and smaller and then a table below, but as i havent a clue about php I dont know how it got there. It’s the closest thing ive gotten to a table, and i still don’t know how i can find pictures clickable that lead to other pages in a more time saving manner, and im really bad at learning code, really really laughably bad…

Then on my next pages all I’d want is an article, not dated, but that’s it. On another banner ads, a bit of javascript and whatnot, but if wordpress is all about posts then I’m doomed and do I have to return to pure html? And then a neat google map import, but I guess if I find a solution to the problems above finding a google map feed method will be a lot easier

So, am I really asking if wordpress is all about posts? Yeah, sort of. I’m kinda asking if there are any plugins that’ll eliminate that traditional post look and turn it more into page look, and then i’m asking if and how in a quick manner, preferably with a script or a plugin lol, I can build tables or insert certain code in a page like manner.

Is there a neat simple solution for me? That is if you got here and still understand what i’m talking about? Thanks
