Restricted access / member only plug-in suggestions please

    I’d like to have a category with several sub-categories that are restricted access.

    I’d like users to be able to request to register and set their own username / password but with an approval required from myself to activate.

    Preferable, a single sign-in and not necessary for every sub-cat too.

    Can you recommend any suitable plug-ins as I’ve trawled through and can’t find anything that would suit.

    I’m using Genesis Lifestyle theme if that’s relevant.

    Hi Keith,

    I didn’t find a perfect plug-in for my needs, but I did find WP members.

    You just add a little code to your post and thereafter, the content is protected and requires member sign-in.

    I found the administrator side a little clumsy, but it’ll do for now. Hope to find something better, so if you do discover something, please share!
