Tuning The Search

Hello, I would like to tune my search…where to start?

Specifically, my problem is that the search uses intersections rather than unions.

If I search for “ubuntu breezy wine”, I get one result; if I search for “ubuntu breezy”, I get two results; if I search for wine, I get two results (one not from the previous.) I would like to alter the behaviour so that the first search yields me results based on all words (obviously sorted by relevance.)

Possible?

I looked at the Search Reloaded plugin, but it doesn’t support substring searches.
