Support » Fixing WordPress » Curious lack of indexing

  • Hi all, three issues here which may or may not play into eachother

First, we’re not getting indexed in google for individual posts. Perhaps more than 10 days since inception and nothing. Pinged SEs, submitted sitemaps, etc.

Second, we have wordpress under a directory – not on the root. e.g. Rug Blog – domain.com/blog Does this present a problem, if so, what is the easiest and most efficient way to fix.

Third, post titles on the blog appear to be images, not live text. However, going to the code, everything seems to be ok. See this example of oversized carpets and palace rugs I’ve never seen this before but it seems like a lack of SEO consideration? Is this a problem, and if so, how can we fix this in the blog?

Thanks in advance for the input, this has always been helpful

It can take Google anywhere from a few days to a year to even begin to index your site.

Nothing above sounds detrimental, so in this case I think it’s just that Google hasn’t gotten around to fully indexing your site yet.

I recommend giving it a bit more than just 10 days.
