• I created a wordpress site under a directory called new. I then wanted to move to the root and when I changed the path, it couldn’t find the admin panel. I then did a restore of the database from the day before, hoping the path would be correct. i did get all my data bacl but I am now getting this internal server error problem. Should I reinstall wordpress and then restore my database into this. I am not sure what to do.
(I am in the process of updating to wordpress 3.0.1)
    Thanks

  • No since you changed your url in settings general and you have not moved the wordpress folders and files to new location that is from new to root I presume you getting that error.

just move those folders and files and then try and log in.

Can you tell us which host you’re on? Could this be a php5 problem?
