• Resolved dremation

    (@dremation)

I run multiple site, all WordPress based. However, my latest site has been giving me a LOT of trouble. I get tons of “Internal Server Errors” due to resource consumption and while trying to view the admin back-end I get the normal WordPress error: Nothing found here. I refresh a dozen times and it finally shows me the admin page.

The particular site I can’t post a link to. I can tell you its a fresh install with over 7,000 posts.

All sites are ran on a single server, but this is the only one that acts up. Are they any possible fix’s suggestion without actually seeing the site. I could post a link in PM or Email.

  • Have you tried:
    – repairing your database?
    – using a caching plugin?
    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

I can’t even get it to load now. It’s either “Nothing found here” or ISE.

What did you change? Have you tried contacting your hosts in case there’s an issue at their end?

They tell me that theres a script that is causing heavy loads. I’m using the latest WordPress along with eVid from ElegantThemes. I have the same identical setup on other domains hosted on the same server. The only difference is that this site has over 7,000 posts.

I have SSH access and they advised me to check the logs, but I know nothing about that.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

It’s strange. Wiped out the whole directory and reinstalled again. Nothing, ISE and “Nothing found here” but if I visit the read me at /readme.html it loads fine :-/ So frustrating.

I was using a remote MySQL database. I created a new database on the local machine and bam! 100% working.
