• Well I reloaded my tabs for for a particular website and one of the tabs was open on the fantastico page of my cpanel with the confirmation message that wordpress had been installed successfully.

When i went to my site all my post had gone and theme had been reset to twentyten.

If I check out images uploaded everything is still there but posts and settings etc have all vanished.

Any ideas if I can recapture old database.

To be honest I have no idea why it would have done this.

Any help would be immensley helpful.

    Thanks.

  • The only way is to restore if you a backup or ask your host if they can restore your database as they do keep a backup.

Thanks- yup, turns out last 1st backup was today, site began last week. Had 24 unique pages of content – is there any way of getting this back do you know?

I am sorry to say that ones deleted there no other way as wordpress saves everything in database and you have accidentally deleted that.

yeah – serious bummer. Just by keeping the fantastico tab open which confirmed wp instal with user and pass – refreshed some days later automatically wipes clean the db – that shouldn,t be allowed to happen – a fantastico major glitch.
