• Hi,

I have my own WordPress blog since 2006 now. It is in English and WordPress uses the root directory of the server. Works like a charm.

Now, I want to use the MU / Network feature of WordPress which is possible in v3.0 ( http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network ). I would like to combine the subdomain with the the sub-directory feature to build two new blogs that use a different language for the same content, i.e.

subdomain.domain.com/de/ should become the German blog and
subdomain.domain.com/en/ should become the English one.

The old WordPress blog should remain under domain.com, though – I still want to maintain it.

I like the idea of using the multiple blog feature, as I do not have to mingle with plugins.

Can anyone tell me how to achieve the described goal? I’ve just read that the subdirectory feature doesn’t work with blogs older than a month… see “Create A Network… it says:

You cannot choose Sub-directory Install in the following cases:

    * If your existing WordPress installation has been set up for more than a month, due to issues with existing permalinks. (This problem will be fixed in a future version.)

    Thanks in advance!
