• I just registered a domain lastnight and I’ve followed the instructions on uploading the WordPress documents to the root directory however when I try open the install.php file from my browser, it’s just nonsense. I’ve done everything correctly and many times over. Does this problem have anything to do with the fact that I registred the domain last night or do I just need to scrap this project and go with another product? Thanks fo ryour help. Eric

    What ‘nonsense’ did you see?

The page came up but it was being served from my computer and the code was visible onpage but not all of it,just parts, and the layout was all run together. It was all spaghetti-like. IF I try opening the install.php file from the website as instructed, it won’t even locate it, can’t find the file at all from teh browser.

What web address are you using?

“WordPress documents to the root directory”

Those file need to be uploaded into the www or httpdocs or public_html or mainwebsite_html directory.

If you can see one of those above alongside your wp files, they are out of reach of a browser.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have uploaded them into the WWW Directory. Still no response. My thoughts are that the DNS change is still taking place, it’s the only thing I can think of. Let’s see how it looks in the morning. Thanks again.
