• I am trying to create the feel of a 40 character DOS command table anytime a CODE tag is used in a post. I have the colors changed, but I want a consistent width to the text for entire block, yet it appears to parse per line and match width to the content. I can’t seem to find where this is controlled or how to change it.

Here is an example of the problem (just a test site)

    Thanks,
    Bob

  • I don’t know if display: block; would work with the code tag, but you could try that.

OR…you could enclose your code in a <div> that has a background color.

Actually display:block added to the stylesheet worked perfectly. Thank you!
