    The mailchimp plugin breaks some features (namely variations) in the Shopp plugin. I suspect it’s a javascript conflict. Since Shopp is way more vital than mailchimp integration, the plugin got deleted from my install.

    My workaround was to create a form in mailchimp, paste that form into a blank (i.e. non-themed) HTML doc that I then threw into my theme’s directory (though it could be anywhere). I then used a text widget and added an iframe referencing that document.
