I’m having a problem with my Visual editor in WordPress. Basically, when I go to edit or add a new page, the Visual editor loads for a second, and then disappears. The text is for some reason white (giving the illusion that it isn’t being displayed). However, if I click on HTML editor, that seems to work fine. If I click back to Visual editor, I can then see the text, however it is HTML format.

I’ve uninstalled all plugins and the problem persists. I’ve also tried to install Tiny MCE and other text editors to see if this corrects the problem. I’m totally stumped, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    -Dave

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

Dave, I see you were creating a WCAG 2.0 AAA Conformance Standard WordPress theme? Can you supply the link to it? Are you sharing or selling the theme? i’d love to hear back. Cheers. Al.
